About Us
We offer you a warm welcome if you are thinking about coming to visit the church, situated at the heart of this small, friendly community. Our weekly traditional Sunday morning service at 11.30am is preceeded by tea and coffee from 11.15 am. There is usually an evening service on the last Sunday each month, and an episode of "The Chosen" is shown on the first Sunday of the month, both at 7pm. In addition to our listed activities, local groups use our easily accessible premises for their own meetings, and the church itself is fully involved in the many festivals and community events which take place here. Wigtown, Scotland's national book town, is an historic Royal Burgh. Well-known for the drowning of two Christian women during The Killing Times, Wigtown is ten miles from Whithorn, where St Ninian first brought Christianity to Scotland in 397AD.
