1stSouth Wigston Brigades is a joint meeting of 1st South Wigston Girls' Brigade and 1st South Wigston Boys' Brigade for girls and boys aged 4 and over meeting weekly during term time in 3 age groups for a variety of age appropriate activities. The art and craft groups now meet jointly continuing despite no longer having a tutor but sharing ideas between members Various paper crafts, card etc shared . A small Table Tennis group within the Leicester & District Table Tennis League playing competitive matches. We currently have 15 members who are split into 3 teams playing in divisions 3,4 and 5 (of5) who play home and away (home nights are Tuesday and Thursday) The season runs from mid-September to mid-April. Sing 4 fun is the South Wigston Community Choir which is open to voices of all abilities, ages and background. They sing and enjoy a wide range of music, both traditional and modern, including pop, folk, spiritual, songs from the shows and music from all over the world. 1st South Wigston Brigades meet weekly on Monday evening at 6pm during term time for children from age 4. This is Girls' Brigade and Boys' Brigade Companies running jointly with all leaders fully trained and DBS checked.
