About Us
Whittlesey Methodist / URC is a vibrant and inclusive church seeking to serve God in our local community and beyond. We are a local ecumenical partnership with our roots within the Peterborough Methodist Circuit and the East Midlands URC Synod. We share our minister with other churches in the Peterborough Circuit. Most of our members have adopted joint membership and we regard ourselves as a united church family! Our vision statement states, The calling of the church is to respond to the Gospel of Gods love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship, fellowship, service and mission as a body of people; young and old. Our Sunday worship draws people of all ages with the youngsters departing during the service for their own Friends of God sessions. Refreshments are served afterwards. The monthly afternoon services are more reflective and quieter, in a cafe style. Our church premises are in use regularly throughout the week with a variety of organisations.
