About Us
"We live to glorify God through Christ in worship, making disciples, loving one another and serving the community." The words of our mission statement sum up the kind of people we are striving to become. We are a lively growing fellowship on the edge of the countryside to the South West of Leicester. We meet in our building called springwell, which we built ovewr several years and moved into at Christmas 2021. We are blessed with a large Kids' Church, who leave the main sunday morning service for their own activities after about half an hour. Worship is led by one of our teams of musicians and singers, and we are known for our contemporary Christian music. Communion is normally celebrated on the first Sunday morning and third Sunday evening. We hold various discipleship programmes through the year, including Alpha and Christianity Explored. We have about 20 small groups meeting at various times and venues through the week. There are also a number of social groups and activities (walking, Board Games, Re:Tyred (a weekly group for older men), Weigh and Stay (for newborns and their mothers), a Parent & Toddler Group, and aome others). We support a local foodbank and a shelter for the homeless, and have a CAP (Christians Against Poverty) group for debt counselling, We rent a former house to the government scheme for housing Afghan refugees. We have recently formed a Hope into Action charitable group and have been nearing the initial funds to invest in another house for people struggling to afford accommodation. We have a thriving and well-regarded Pre School as part of our church. Do come and worship with us, you'll be sure of a warm welcome!
