About Us
A church is recorded here in the Doomsday Book. A Saxon tomb lid has been built into the exterior vestry wall. The church would have been near to the famous Weyhill Fair, which was in existence in the 14th century. The north transept was built in 1827 for use as a vestry but later became a school room. When the church was reconstructed in 1863, the north transept was incorporated into the nave. The 13th century chancel was carefully preserved and in the sanctuary is a carved reredos painted with Christian symbols. This is a spacious, large church with beautiful pillars, arches and stained glass windows. Its own fascinating history is very much related to that of the local area.
