About Us

Upton Baptist Church is a growing independent Bible-believing Church that has been in Chester since 1871, moving to our present location in the suburbs of Upton in the 1980s. We are of a reformed evangelical persuasion and have a vision to reach the local community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We also have a strong missionary interest. Our desire is to be a caring and friendly church, where we seek to bear each other's burdens, and to live the Christian life together in community. We align ourselves with the 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith.
