About Us
I would like to welcome you all to our church and our parish community. St James is a warm and friendly parish. Mass attendance is approximately 550, many of whom are young families. We aim to cater for our children's needs and hold a crèche, children's liturgy and children's mass. We have two excellent Catholic schools - St James's Primary and St Catherine's Independent Girls' School nearby. The church was built in 1883 and features stained glass donated by the last King of Portugal. The church is also located near St Mary's College, a respected Catholic college. Its students competed in the Athens 2004 Olympics.
