About Us
St Mary's Church is at the heart of Thorpe, an island village amidst nearby motorways and gravel pit extraction. St. Mary's has become a centre for modern catholic Anglicans, who hold to the great creedal doctrines, believing that Jesus Christ is the Word of God, revering the Bible but believing it is to be interpreted in the light of tradition and reason. St. Mary's takes seriously our duty of care for the community and visitors. St Mary's Church is a beautiful location for weddings, baptisms and funerals. St Mary's congregation is known for its welcome and hospitality; the building is usually open on Thursdays between 6 and 8 pm. We look forward to you visiting us for worship soon. Welcome!
