About Us

St. Ives Free Church (United Reformed) traces its history back to the time of Oliver Cromwell. The current premises were substantially modernised in 1980 to provide a church building that not only serves its worshipping community but also serves the town in many ways. An active congregation meets for worship on Sundays at 11 am, and there are daily prayers in the small chapel every day from 10-10.15 am. The church supports a well stocked Fairtrade shop and a busy coffee shop. The building hosts the local Volunteer Bureau and is the meeting place for a number of organisations - including Arthritis Care, RSPB, Civic Society and other groups. It provides an excellent venue for concerts and exhibitions.
