About Us

As a church we exist to Know and make known the restorative love of Jesus! We long to see multigenerational encounters with Jesus, with people of all ages—young and old—stepping into faith and taking their next steps in following the way of Jesus. Our heart is to be a church where the lost are found, the found are called, and everyone gathers with expectant hearts for life-changing encounters with God. Together, we will all play our part, and build a community marked by deep connection, radical generosity, and bold hope. From encounter to overflow, we are committed to honoring the past while stepping into the future, envisioning a church where lives are restored, families renewed, and God’s kingdom expanded in Portsmouth and beyond. We're committed to be the church, both gathered and scattered, with a healthy rhythm of meeting together helping us fulfil this vision wherever we are. Smaller Life-Groups are the centre of discipleship at Hope, where we learn, encourage, worship and pray together, equipping each member of the church family to take part in Knowing and make known the restorative love of Jesus. We're committed to sharing practical love with our local communities though our HOPE Projects, responding to the needs of those in our city; from emergency food parcels, holistic support and family programmes.
