About Us
Our Catholic Parish of Our Lady of Dolours is on the edge of Salford, very populated area with strong Jewish and Catholic people, and new arrivals too. It is cared for by a priory of the Servite Friars (Servants of Mary), giving it a good community spirit. The presence of Faithful Companions of Jesus and Nazareth House sisters adds to this. Involvement and participation are key words for us, especially in the Liturgy, care for our primary school, music, faith-and-justice outreach, Christian formation and spiritual growth. We prioritise following Christ, respect for each and all, a spirit of service and prayer. We are committed to hospitality, listening, ecumenism and partnership with all people of good will.
