About Us

Gerston Chapel was built in 1888 and has been a prominent church in Paignton from that time. Our origins are Christian Brethren and we are evangelical in outlook. In June 2022 we merged with our sister church - Evangel Sidmouth. We offer a warm welcome to visitors to our area throughout the year, We have a variety of preachers for our Sunday services. Every Sunday between 10.30am and 12 noon, we have Worship, Communion and a Sermon, followed by refreshments and fellowship. We also have an evening service consisting of, worship and a sermon between 6pm - 7pm, followed by refreshments and fellowship. We accept the Bible as the inspired Word of God from verse 1 of Genesis to the final verse of Revelation.
