About Us

We are a nondenominational, independent church fellowship, affiliated to the Evangelical Alliance and an active member of Christians Together in the Newbury area, the cross-denominational body of the church in Newbury. Glendale Church does not have a pastor or minister in the conventional sense. Instead a team of six Elders leads it together with the Church Council, which comprises Elders and representatives elected by, and from, the church membership. The Church Council is the major decision-making body of the church, and meets monthly. Glendale Church seeks: to make the Gospel of Christ known both at home and further afield; to strengthen its members through worship, teaching and fellowship and; to serve the community in which its members live.
