About Us

Christ Church is the combination of three churches: Shortwood Baptist, Forest Green Congregational and Nailsworth Methodist, who united in 1967. We are known as a friendly church and make visitors and newcomers welcome. The building is a Baptist building and so has a baptistry, this means there is a choice of style of baptism and the Communion Service can be Methodist style or U.R.C. & Baptist. Our Friendship Group grows each week and its members are very caring and supportive of each other. Our mission has changed to working with children though the school with PSALMS, Pulsar Club, Basket Ball, holiday club and Family Weekends. We recently held a Parenting Course and are about to start Alpha.
