About Us
Southampton Romanian Orthodox Parish is under the jurisdiction of the Romanian Orthodox Archdiocese of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. We currently worship together on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and other days when is necessary. We serve Southampton, Winchester, Fareham, Portsmouth, Andover, Chandler’s Ford, Hedge End, Romsey, Portchester, Stubbington, West End, Bishopstoke, Fair Oak and the other towns and villages throughout Hampshire and this region. We are open also for communities from Bournemouth area, Chichester area. Established in 2015, it recently achieved a major milestone by purchasing the historic Holy Trinity Church in Millbrook (SO15 0JZ) in late 2024 and early 2025. Led by Parish Priest Ovidiu Semerean, it holds Divine Liturgy every Sunday at 10:00 AM. The Romanian Orthodox community in Southampton marks a significant moment with the acquisition of the ‘Holy Trinity’ Millbrook Church, English Heritage building, which becomes the new place of worship for the Southampton Romanian Orthodox Parish dedicated to ‘Saint Calinic of Cernica.’ You are all welcome.
