About Us

We’re a very informal church, located within the Heatherton estate in Littleover, Derby. Our services have modern language and songs. Our singing is led by a small band rather than an organ and you’ll find people using flags and streamers and sometimes raise their hands in the air! All the words we say and sing are on an overhead screen rather than in books. Children and families are a big part of our church community, and we always cater for them in our services. We believe Jesus loves and welcomes everyone, no matter who they are, where they come from or what has happened in their lives. We try to reflect that unconditional love in the way we welcome people to our church. We’re a Local Ecumenical Partnership church. That means we are a Christian church that is drawn from four different church movements: Baptist, Church of England, Methodist and United Reformed Church. We are connected into these Christian traditions. We don’t look completely like any of them, but who we are, what we believe and how we do things is firmly rooted in them. As a church we want to be : Loving Jesus More - Deepening our prayer and worship and seeking to encounter God through His Holy Spirit. Living Jesus’ Way - Living out our faith joyously every day. Sharing Jesus’ Love - Connecting with our community, showing God’s love and sharing the Good News of Jesus.
