About Us
As part of God’s family, Leckhampton Baptist Church aims to bring glory to Jesus both in our personal lives and in our community. We believe everyone needs to hear the good news of Jesus, so whether you're looking for a new church or are just visiting for the first time, we trust you'll find a friendly welcome at LBC. Our Sunday service starts at 10.30am and includes songs and hymns, prayer, and preaching from the Bible, followed by a social time over refreshments. Some weeks will include communion (The Lord's Supper) for those who are followers of Jesus. And there's no formal dress code to worry about - just come as you are and we'll be delighted to see you. We are evangelical, meaning that we take the Bible at its word, and that the gospel – the good news of Jesus Christ – is at the centre of all we do. At the core of this story is that Jesus gave his life to rescue us from our sinful rebellion. And that he rose again and now sits at the right hand of God the Father in glory. As we grow together in love and service we hope to better reflect Jesus, who said, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20)
