About Us

Welcome to the Roman Catholic Church of St. John the Evangelist in Islington, London N1. The parish is part of the Diocese of Westminster. Close to the Angel in South Islington, St. John's was the first Roman Catholic Church to be built in Islington following Catholic Emancipation. Its distinctive twin copper spires can be seen from all around and the church is open every day for prayer. The parish community and primary school continue to proclaim the Gospel in the local community and beyond. St John's welcomes all to worship - Catholics and non Catholics.
