Every first Sunday of the month is an all age service with the "Messy Church" format as we explore a story and theme together through creative activities. The remaining weeks of the month we offer a children's group during the service for nursery age children through those school Year 5, and a second group for those in school years 6 through 9. Youth group every Friday evening for ages 11-18 and a youth led small group biweekly. Children and young people are welcome in all of our services! We also have a "quiet space" available for nursing mothers or others who may wish to listen to the service outside the main room.
18-30s:
We have a thriving students and young adults' ministry which gathers for regular socials and twice-monthly worship and teaching nights.
Local outreach & community activities:
The first Sunday of each month we host Messy Church for our congregation and the surrounding community. Messy Church is a place where all ages and backgrounds can experience worship and explore faith through creative activities and community. We work together with St Michael's Church and Body, Mind, Spirit partnership to facilitate a community space at St Michael's in the week. There is a Craft and Mindfulness Group on Tuesdays at 10 AM, a gentle walking group on Wednesday mornings and Place of Welcome along with Skills Hub (help with computers and forms) on Wednesdays at 11 AM. We host Growbaby at East site on Tuesday mornings by appointment. Growbaby accepts donations of gently used clothing and equipment for babies and children ages 5 and under and distributes them to anyone who needs them, free of charge. We run a number of compassion ministries as a church, including Bags of Hope to provide food for those who need it, and GrowBaby which supports children under 5 and their families. At our Central Site we hold Stay and Play for our local community once a week and there is an opportunity to join the City Pastors Team, who pastor on the streets of the city centre on Friday and Saturday nights. We also run Alpha courses across the city.
Other activities & ministries:
Throughout the week and across the year there's always something to get involved in, from Small Groups to Sozo prayer ministry, Prophetic Art Workshops, Vineyard Worship and social events!

About Us

Birmingham Vineyard Church exists to help people follow Jesus, live life to the full and make a difference. Our vision is to start groups, communities and congregations, where people can encounter God. At our East site we strive to be an intercultural, family-like community which invites everyone in, encountering Jesus together and living out His love every day. Our vibe is casual and welcoming-- we sit around tables and end each weekly service with a simple free meal together. We expect to meet with God together and experience His new life and transformation through worship, practical talks from the Bible, prayer and the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
