About Us

We are a diverse and welcoming church that seeks to help people connect with God, grow spiritually, and find comfort and inspiration in the good news of God's love. We meet for worship at 10:30am every Sunday morning for approximately an hour. During our services we sing hymns, are led in prayer, listen to the Bible and usually have a 10-15 minute sermon/talk. Sunday School runs during the service twice a month and on other weeks we have a table of children's activities in the church for the children to do during the service. Services are generally led by local preachers with the occasional service led by the Sunday School or members of the church. Once a month we have a communion service led by our minister. All who love God or wish to know God more are welcome to share in communion. Our communion wine is non-alcoholic. As well as Sunday worship we have a Bible study group that meets some Tuesday mornings. We also support the Thurrock Foodbank who use our premises on a Monday. Our church is part of the South Essex Methodist Circuit. Find out more about what we do here: https://www.southessexmethodist.org.uk/ We are part of the Methodist Church in Britain.
