About Us

Egglescliffe parish stands within the centre ground of Anglicanism. We offer space to those with differing understandings of how to be church and worship. The church building with its fine seventeenth century interior has recently undergone a transformation. The interior has been re-ordered providing better use of space for welcome, prayer, and socialising. We are developing our worship patterns to accommodate the needs for all the family, with our monthly All Age Service on the first Sunday at 10am.. St John's welcomes all so that together we may worship God, reflect His glory and be His presence in the world, grow in grace and understanding, care for all by acting as a focus for community, and bring others to accept Jesus as Lord. We have recently become a Shared Ministry Parish and are taking part in the Partnership for Missional Church initiative. St John's is a very welcoming and exciting church family, ready to welcome all into our community.
