About Us

St John's is the local Anglican Parish Church in Upper Meads, Eastbourne. We celebrate the Christian faith as revealed to us in the Bible and through the teaching, life, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. We encourage each other to recognise the work of God in the world, and to live at peace in the newness of life given to us by the Holy Spirit. We believe that God is our heavenly Father, and loves all people, therefore we extend a warm welcome to everyone. Our worship includes traditional and modern liturgies as well as contemporary forms of worship. We welcome children into the church, but also try to provide pastoral care to the older members of our community.
