- A midweek group for 20 Somethings shared with our sister congregation, Royal Docks Community Church.
- Local outreach & community activities:
- We set up a Community Association with the ethos to celebrate, include and empower local people (see www.bonnydowns.org). This charity employed 80 people last year. Our Senior Minister, Dave Mann, Chairs the Trustee Board of BDCA. Our partnership includes providing a food bank and advocacy service, and a winter night shelter. We have a strong focus on mercy and justice projects. We journey together spiritually through weekly worship and midweek groups.

- Fortnightly evening groups for men and women and one daytime home group.
- Leaders:
- Our senior ministers are Dave and Sally Mann. They are bi-voactional leaders and co-pastors. Dave continues to work in community development and is a Walking Football coach for West Ham Foundation. Sally has a doctorate in theology/philosophy and is a Senior Lecturer at a local university. Both are acreditted Baptist ministers. We also have 2 community chaplains, a local leadership team and a Church Manager, Sarah Laing, who works on Fridays from The Well. Email [email protected]

About Us
God's call on our church is to 'see Jesus changing lives and transforming our community'. We do this in partnership with a local charity we set up in 1998 (Bonny Downs Community Association) and by being a faithful, worshipping presence in our neighbourhood. We are an inclusive church. Our ministers are part of 'Accepting Evangelicals'. We are proud to be diverse; welcoming people from all age groups and many ethnic backgrounds. We gather for worship every Sunday from 10.15-11.45am at The Well, 49 Vicarage Lane East Ham E6 6D - a community centre we redeveloped in 2001. We enjoy lively worship, relevant preaching series and times for quieter reflection and prayer. We prepare our sermons in community conversations and bring together what God teaches us through our midweek ministries to our Sunday congregational worship. We are a missional community served by 2 senior ministers, 2 community chaplains and a team of 8 local, passionate leaders. We have a congregation of Portuguese-speaking members who meet from 12.30pm in our old church building on Flanders Road, East Ham. This congregation is pastored by Olga and Santos. We partner with a church plant in the Royal Docks (Royal Docks Community Church) where Dave and Sally are Senior Ministers. RDCC follow the same preaching series, but the church has its own leadership team and a focus on its own neighbourhood.
