About Us

St. Andrew's church is located in Eakring, a small conservation village in Nottinghamshire, not too far from Southwell and its wonderful Minster. The church was restored during the 1800s, but the tower still has sections dating from the 13th and 15th centuries. Our most famous rector was William Mompesson, hero of the Eyam Plague, who ministered in the village from 1671 up until his death in 1708. St. Andrew's congregation is small, with 20-30 regular worshippers each Sunday, but with larger numbers at the main Christian festivals. Visitors would be made very welcome - join us for a coffee and a chat after the service.
