About Us
We are a community of people that gathers from across Manchester with diverse social and ethnic backgrounds, who share a passion for Jesus. As a reflection of the people of Manchester, if you come to SMFC you should feel that you can belong whatever your age, cultural background, colour, ethnicity or social status. We meet every Sunday morning 10.30am at Manchester High School for Girls Fallowfield and throughout the week in homes across the city. The day to day Life of the church happens outside of the Sunday meeting in small groups called 'LifeGroups'. These meet each week in the above areas, to build community & strengthen church members in their Christian lives. We also run the Alpha initiative on a regular basis as part of our commitment to communicating the good news of Jesus. We believe in the authority of the bible as God's word today and Christianity experienced in the power of the Holy Spirit .We express our belief in Christ, through the church community and by reaching out to Manchester and beyond with the Good News of salvation through the work of Jesus. South Manchester Family Church is part of the Catalyst Network (Newfrontiers) and a member of the Evangelical Alliance.
