Christ Church Davyhulme

Main Meetings:
Sun 10:30 Sunday worship
Everyone is welcome, whether you’re a regular churchgoer or not. Our Sunday service is a core part of our church community. We meet to worship God and encourage one another in our faith. The service is informal, with everyone aged nine days to 99 years welcome. The service lasts around an hour and a quarter. We sing songs, read the bible, hear teaching on the bible and pray.

Hymns & songs:
A mix of traditional hymns and modern songs
Under 18s:
Our youth group is for anyone of high school age who’s interested in finding out more about Christianity and exploring what faith means. Our aim is to ignite the young people's faith, through providing a safe space for them to explore and deepen in their faith. We meet fortnightly after church and also get together every second Wednesday evening of the month. We run a supervised crèche and a children’s group during our Sunday service. Primary age children and pre-schoolers leave for their groups part way through the service and return before the final song. Our children’s groups spend time playing games and doing activities that focus on the same bible passage that the adults in church are learning about, in an engaging and age-appropriate way.

Local outreach & community activities:
Drop in on our community café in the church hall anytime between 9:30am and 11:30am. It’s a warm, safe space where you’ll find a warm welcome. There’s toys for kids, a book swap, space to relax and people to talk to. Refreshments are free.
Other activities & ministries:
Fellowship groups are small groups of around 10 people that aim to deepen both and are one of the ways we love others in our church family. We spend time together reading and talking about a bible passage, sharing and praying together, and encouraging each other in our faith. Fellowship groups meet at various locations on Tuesday evenings. There’s also a group for women, with toys for preschoolers, on Thursday mornings 10:00-11:30am, and a group for men on Thursday afternoons 1:00-2:30pm. Connect is all about connecting with God and each other in prayer. Prayer underpins all we do as a church, so these times are vital to our life together. Our main connect hub is on the first Tuesday of each month, 7:30-9:00pm. We gather as a church family to unite in prayer for a range of things in a range of styles. We also have opportunities to connect through prayer weekly on Wednesdays at 9:00-10:00am in church, and Fridays at 6:30-7:00am via Zoom. We regularly run informal courses that ex
