- Start Course Start! introduces Christianity through six DVD based interactive, small-group sessions. The Start! course makes no assumptions about participants’ background or experience or knowledge of Christianity or the church. It really does start from scratch. Foundation church has found that the down-to-earth interactive approach of Start! (www.leadingyourchurchintogrowth.org.uk/the-start-course) has proved an extremely engaging way to share the Gospel. We have invited people who have got to know us through tCAS to come along and we encourage them then to join what we call the Bible School where they have an opportunity to learn about about Jesus, Faith and to explore the Gospel in more depth. Bible School The Bible School is designed to engage non Christians and those new to their faith to understand more about the Bible and what it means to be a Christian.
- Other activities & ministries:
- Social Action and Social Justice We have come to the conclusion that God intends for us to care for our neighbours (both believers and those who we come across in the course of our lives) and so as a church we have embraced the Christian Advice Service (tCAS) as the means by which we will demonstrate love for others (www.tcas.life) as well as our own personal ministry to others. We follow the principle in Acts of ‘caring for the widows’ by providing for others hardship needs through the service of Deacons.
- Leaders:
- The Local church Philippians 1:1: Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus, To all God’s holy people in Christ Jesus at Philippi, together with the overseers and deacons: This is the biblical pattern for any local church, such as the apostle Paul was writing to in Philippi • “Saints” — contrary to some modern definitions, “saints” in the New Testament are God’s people, specifically those who know Jesus Christ as Saviour. This is born out in various other translations: “God’s people”

About Us
Who we are and what we are We are a group of Christians who have chosen to come together to worship and serve God. We meet face to face and over Zoom (because there are those who live in different parts of England and even as far away as Mexico!) Meeting together Fellowship is important to us and for those in Colchester we meet together for a (light) meal once a week. This is an important time of sharing our lives and enjoying one another’s company.
