About Us

The Church was financed by Frances Ellis who also donated her former home, Hyde House, which became the white presbytery next door. In 2006 we were able to renew and rewire the whole physical plant and celebrated our 100th anniversary in a happy ceremony presided over by Archbishop Kevin McDonald. Today we are a multiethnic community of more than 50 national origins. We often say that we come from every continent of the world except Antarctica! Our patron, St Bede the Venerable, is the only English doctor of the church. We welcome you most heartily to come and experience our worship and fraternity.
