About Us
Gas Green is situated in a residential area about 3/4 mile west of the town centre, near the Hardwick campus of the University of Gloucestershire. The church originated around 1849 as a branch of Salem Baptist Church, and became an independent church in 1964. Whilst the Sunday congregations are relatively small, we offer a warm and friendly welcome to all, with a fairly traditional, but relaxed, style of worship. Youth work has historically been an important feature of the life of Gas Green. Today this is carried out through our uniformed youth organisations, which together have a combined membership of around 50. The church administers the adjacent Gas Green Youth & Community Centre, extensively used by the local community.
