About Us

Barton church is a growing church of all ages, with lots of families and young people. We are a contemporary church, seeking to relate to our culture and world from a clear Biblical foundation. Barton Church has two sites - Our Sunday mornings start at Canterbury College at 10am with our Welcome Café, an opportunity to enjoy (free) doughnuts and coffee and get to know each other better. The service starts at 10:30 and finishes about 12. Our second site in Faversham meets at 4pm at Bysing Wood Primary School. After the service, there is plenty of time to meet new people and chat over coffee and cake. We have a range of activities for children and a crèche at both locations. Our primary aim on Sundays is that we genuinely meet with and hear from God. Contemporary and engaged musical worship is an important part of our services. Understanding the Bible is also crucial and so we have a strong emphasis on teaching the Bible in a way that helps us to better know God and to live in the light of its truth. Our services are informal, there is no dress code, new people are never asked to do anything they don't want to do and no-one will ask you for money.
