We are in the process of reconnecting with our local community after years of being rather insular. We were involved in the team that organised events to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, the King's Coronation celebrations, and D-Day remembrance. We have also helped with organising Harvest Supper, carols round the tree, pond clearing, and other village activities. We also support our local school, Hartest Primary School and get involved in school assemblies.
Other activities & ministries:
We meet for prayer on the first Wednesday of the month 10:30am till 11:30am. Numbers have steadily increased and there were 24 people at our most recent prayer meeting. We have Homegroups once a month and round table social events every three months. We also ran the Alpha course in April 2024.

About Us

Brockley is a small village 7 miles south of Bury St Edmunds along the B1066. Brockley Chapel was formed in 1841 and has been a part of the village community for 180 years. Numbers declined to around 10, but in recent years there has been an exciting turn-around and our congregation is now averaging around 50 people. We have enjoyed our newly refurbished building for the last 2 years and we are about to start a small extension to include an accessible toilet and updated kitchen facilities. Services start at 11am and last about an hour. The Bible teaching is lively and relevant. We have a service every other week.
