Calvary Evangelical Church

Main Meetings:
Sun 11:00 Sunday Morning Service
At our main Sunday meeting we read the Bible and hear it explained in a straightforward way. We sing a mixture of old and new songs and pray together (usually the leader will say prayers on our behalf). Our crèche is available for parents with babies/toddlers, and Sunday Club is open to all primary school-age children (from age 4). meeting is also livestreamed on YouTube.
Sun 18:30 Sunday Evening Meeting
This meeting tends to be a bit more informal. We sing, pray and look at various different topics or Bible books together. There is often a chance for discussion in groups. Over recent months we have covered: Bible overview, some church history, sexuality & identity and 1 Peter. On the 3rd Sunday of the month we have a communion service together, there is a shorter sermon, songs and prayer.
Wed 19:45 Prayer Meeting
At our mid-week prayer meeting (in-person or Zoom) we pray for one another, for people in our city, the UK and other countries, as well as for other churches in the UK and overseas. We often do a small Bible study as well, and we sometimes pray about a specific topic (e.g. future ministry or missionaries). Once a month we meet in small groups to share and pray together.
