About Us

St John's is a joint Church of England and Methodist Church, worshipping as one congregation. We are a friendly church with a central ethos and a strong choral tradition. Our services follow a fairly traditional structure - using both Church of England and Methodist liturgy - but with a relaxed atmosphere. We are slowly growing in numbers, with more families and young adults joining the main service. Children are very welcome, and usually meet in their own groups for most of the service. We enjoy challenging and thought-provoking teaching, and are developing study groups for more informal discussion.
