About Us
Ashbourne Baptist Church is an independent bible believing church which was constituted in 2004 and currently meets at St John’s church in Buxton Road Ashbourne DE6 1EX. Come and join us at one of our services - you will be made very welcome. We are a Bible believing Church made up of people from all walks of life and from different backgrounds who meet to worship God together. We believe that Jesus Christ, as our representative and substitute, shed his blood on the cross as the perfect, all-sufficient sacrifice for our sins. His death and resurrection constitute the only ground for salvation. We aim to be salt and light in our community, evangelising through both regular and organised outreach activities, further afield we also support mission and relief organisations. There are activities for young and old throughout the week including the thriving 1st Ashbourne Boys' Brigade and Girls' Association, and bible study groups. During Sunday morning worship the younger children leave for the crèche and Sunday School.
