Stockethill Church of Scotland

Main Meetings:
Sun 10:30 Stockethill Church
We begin to gather for our main Sunday gathering from 10.30 and begin at 11 to worship, learn, pray and share together around the tables. Finishing time is flexible but we're done by 12.15 if not before.

Hymns & songs:
Mostly more modern worship songs with a sprinkling of old favourites and a good number we've written
Under 18s:
We have a handful of primary school children who are part of the Sunday morning congregation. In the past we've had monthly youth groups for our teenagers, but unfortunately we don't have any in our congregation at the moment.
18-30s:
Local outreach & community activities:
Rather than trying to be an organisation that does things for our community, we concentrate on being a community that helps each other love our neighbours, so we encourage each other to be involved in local and not so local opportunities. However we also run some local initiatives in our local area including a monthly litter and a weekly after school club.
Other activities & ministries:
Our other two congregations are based in Sheltered Housing complexes and attract folks from within and outwith the buildings.
Leaders:
The minister is Ian Aitken who, along with his wife Sarah, planted the church. There are currently 5 elders, a number of small group leaders, and a wider group involved in enabling the present and shaping the future of the church.

About Us

We are a small, 20 year old, Church of Scotland Congregation. Without a building of our own we have three congregations that meet regularly around the Stockethill area of Aberdeen. Every Sunday our largest congregation meets in Cairncry Community Centre where we gather from 10.30 to start our service at 11 as we worship, learn, pray and share together around the tables. These services are also online at: https://www.youtube.com/c/StockethillChurch
