SEARCH CHURCH - OUR STORY

IN NOVEMBER 2007, DARREN FELT GOD CALLING HANNAH AND HIM TO AN ONLINE PROJECT TO ENABLE THE LOCAL CHURCH TO BE ACCESSIBLE TO A WEB GENERATION...

This is their story…

We had been planning this project for a year and a half: designing the logo and website; working on marketing and business strategies and praying lots! However, we came to a place where we could go no further unless we made a financial investment to launch the company and develop the concepts.

During the New Wine Summer Conference in 2009 at Newark, Darren felt the Spirit prompt him to pray specifically for confirmation as to whether this was God’s plan or his own. If it was God’s plan Darren pleaded for confirmation within this particular meeting. A bold prayer!

Near the end of the meeting Darren had a tap on his shoulder from a man in the row behind. He said that from the beginning of the meeting God had given him a word for us.  That word was; “There is a new opportunity that God has for you and He says ‘Go for it”. This man’s name is Alex Garden.

We were both blown away and amazed at how God had answered such a specific prayer!

A few minutes later another gentleman, a church deacon, came over to us. He said that the felt the Lord had given him a picture for us and was very honest that this was not a ‘normal’ thing for him to get. He saw a picture of a Champagne bottle that had just been popped and that the spray of this champagne would be far bigger than we could possibly imagine. His name is Jason Reid.

We believe that these statements / pronouncements were both from God. Not just one confirmation but two!! What a lavish God we serve! When we got back from the conference we went ahead and set up Search Church and invested financially in the development and building of the Search Church website.

We don’t claim to be anything special (far from it) but instead rely on this scripture;

‘God saved you by his special favour when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.’ Ephesians 2:8-10.

This might be our vision but it is God who guides our steps. (Proverbs 16:9)
