God works all things for the good of those who Love him

On Saturday, I was a mile away from the church in Coventry where I was delivering some training in 'Evangelism and Mission' but my car suddenly broke Down. Shortly afterwards, the nice man from Green Flag confirmed my dashboards 'diagnosis' that a new Alternator was needed, plus a very expensive ride back to Warrington that wasn't covered in my Insurance :(. Keen to complete my mission I arranged for the recovery vehicle to pick me up at 11.30 after my Seminar. After the Seminar (which seemed to be received very well), I got into the front cab of the Recovery truck after he lightened my bank account by £370 :( Initially Paul, the driver was a little surly and I had a choice to choose to practice what I had just been preaching and engage with him during the journey! It would be fair to say I wasn't really in the mood for 'being bothered', but after a quick argument with the Lord I acquiesced and decided to make the Devil pay! Maybe this was my 'divine appointment' I had just been telling the Delegates to 'Watch out' for?!

After a slow start Paul and I got chatting and he told me lots about his family and his boys, especially his disabled son. As we arrived at the services where I was going to pick up another driver to take me back to Warrington, I offered to pray for him which he gladly received, Praise God. My prayer is that I was his messenger to help him to see Jesus is the way back to 'Our Father' and that I will see him in Heaven one day! It would make it all worthwhile! Praise God by the end of the day I had received an unexpected gift of £200 which just about balanced the days spend with that and my ministry gift! Paying the cost of the Alternator and garage visit!!
