Back from the Brink
"Why didn't they let me die" was my first thought on coming out of the coma. Single anti-malarial medication makes you feel dreadful. I was so ill with cerebral malaria and hepatitis that the doctors had given me a combination of drugs. Although physically recovered, I suffered brain damage.
I accepted his invitation
Before becoming a Christian in the autumn of 1986 I was (or at least I thought of myself as) a successful business man. I had all the trimmings: a nice house, car, a good business and family - or so I thought. My personal philosophy was centred on "me." What was good for me must be good for everyone else. If they didn't agree - tough.
With God in my life, I know anything is possible
It was while we were hitchhiking from Florida to Ohio that I had my first experience of God's love in action. A stranger picked us up in Georgia and took us 1,000 miles, paying for food and motel rooms on the way. He said it was because he was a Christian and I was blown away by this.
God works all things for the good of those who Love him
It would be fair to say I wasn't really in the Mood for 'Being Bothered' But after a quick argument with the Lord I acquiesced and decided to make the Devil pay !! Maybe this was my 'divine appointment' I had just been telling the Delegates to 'Watch out' for !?
The most uplifting experience
God can work in all situations and circumstances in extraordinary ways...
So don't let a day go by without telling your nearest and dearest that they are loved, I certainly don't.
Housebound to Church Planting in 5 years
I then went to the service that night and I realised what exactly Jesus had done for me by dying on a cross for my sins. And gave my life to the Lord on the 29th August 2006!

Inspiration
I was taken to church from a young age and as far back as I can remember I always believed in God and the Bible. Despite believing these things it never really impacted my life and as I grew older I started to care less about church and God.
