The Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC)

The Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC)

The Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches (FIEC) is a network of over 500 churches which have certain things in common. Each church is ‘Evangelical’ because it’s rooted in the Bible and driven by the great news about Jesus Christ, the gospel. And each church is ‘Independent’ because it firmly believes that every Bible-centred, gospel-driven local church is fully equipped to manage its own affairs; there’s no need for authority structures or a hierarchy outside of the local church. However, despite being Independent, the Bible makes it clear that gospel churches should seek to support and work with other gospel churches. Therefore the FIEC exists to connect such churches so that that we can help one another to thrive as God intends, as well as pioneering Bible-centred, Gospel-driven unity with other churches locally, nationally and globally.

The FIEC began in 1922 and is still a growing network of churches. Our churches differ greatly in size, style, history and culture, but they’re all passionate about Jesus Christ, his work on the cross, and the Bible that tells us all about him. You’re pretty much guaranteed a warm welcome at any FIEC church.
